24 Weeks

24 weeks down.  16 to go!  It sounds like a long time from now, but I am told by many moms that it will fly by.

I feel good, except for the fact that almost anything I eat gives me heartburn…something I have never had issues with before!  Baby Z is moving around a lot, and those kicks/punches that make my belly move are much more common these days.  My sister Sarah is here for a few days, and Baby Z put on a good show for her yesterday on the couch.

The nursery is coming together.  I am in the process of tweaking my birdie mobile.  All the birds are attached to the twigs I gathered from the back yard, but its not quite balanced.  I taped 2 pennies to the top branch and that seemed to balance it out, but I don’t want to leave those choking hazards dangling above the baby…I’ll have to think of something else.

The other unsightly part of the mobile is the remaining bits of hot glue I wrestled with while putting this together.  I did not intend this project to take quite as long as it did.  I also did not intend to get to incredibly frustrated and angry at some sticks, stuffed birds and a glue gun!
