29 weeks

It feels like belly growth has slowed down a little.  Maybe that’s just me.  Maybe you’re thinking that the belly looks twice as big as last week.  From what I hear and read the remaining 11 weeks hold some serious jumps in baby growth.

There are still no feelings about Baby Z’s gender for me or Ben.  I had two people at different places today tell me what I was having.  One said boy and one said girl.  One of them is right.  I just don’t know who.  Not knowing has really saved me some money.  If I knew it was a boy or a girl, I would have fallen hard for some cute baby clothes and seriously damaged our bank account.

I am definitely more tired than I have been, and I’ve been told it only gets worse!  I can see why people are so ready to have their babies when it nears the end of these 40 weeks.

Today I registered Ben and me for our childbirth classes and I registered for my breastfeeding class which will be in October.  It makes it much more real to have those dates on the calendar.

The nursery made great strides this weekend when Ben’s parents came up to Amarillo.  Kate and Steve brought a newly recovered glider rocker, and the baby bedding.  Thanks, Kate!  It’s pretty fun to have those things in there now.  It really feels like the only thing missing now is baby!  Very exciting!
