Trees

One of my favorite things about the drive from Sacramento to Richvale is the orchards we see along the way.  I’m not sure what these are, but I love the way they look with their little white blooms.

When Sarah and I would come out here during the summers by ourselves, Grandpa would tell us all about the trees and the farms we passed.  I sure do wish I’d listened better!  Being in Richvale this time made me a little sad that I hadn’t paid more attention to things or asked more questions.  I’d never been out here during the springtime before and the guys were doing spring work.  Things were pretty busy.  I’ve had ample opportunities to learn about rice farming and I just didn’t take the time.  I’m sure I was too busy being wrapped up in myself to think about it too much.  If Carson continues to take an interest in tractors I might have to get him out there to help during harvest!  Then he can tell me all about it.
