Running
I’ve started running 2 to 3 times a week. Not always very far and not always very fast, but it’s something. We go around 8 and it is humid, but not terribly hot. Today though there was absolutely no breeze and it was pretty miserable. I was soaked and exhausted by the end of it. But again, it is something.
I bought these running shoes months ago I think. Wendy Davis made them famous by wearing them for 11 hours while filibustering the 20 week abortion ban here in Texas. Glad to be wearing them and supporting the right to life. I think about it every time I put them on. Thanks, Wendy Davis!
Tomorrow we head to Round Rock to spend some time with Maren and Lisa, then I drop the kids with Kate and Steve on Thursday, then the sisters and mom head for a long weekend together! I am pretty excited about the time away…and the fact that we’re spending it in Napa isn’t too bad :)
I believe the getaway is also known as 30th birthday celebration!
