Party Paper Circles

I did a lot of crafting and party supply searching today.  It’s fun to work on a project that has visible results like this and I am really enjoying it.  Originally I wanted Betsy’s party to be craft paper and neon themed.  It still is, but as I started collecting things for the party it became craft paper, lavender, yellow and neon coral (which turns out to be almost impossible to match) and then we added in some patterned washi tape.  I say “we” because I have had some great advice and help in the party planning.  Thanks to Sarah, Lisa and Carrie!  It’s so great to have multiple brains working on something.  The end result is almost always better when you have help.

I sewed circle garland for about an hour tonight.  Ben was gone for work so after the kids went to bed I just turned on some music, poured myself a glass of wine and crafted.  I should probably measure how many feet of the garland I have hanging up in the dining room right now.  Maybe 20?  Maybe more?  It’s lovely and I think I might leave it hanging up well after the party is over.  It would add some cheer to the daily grind, I think.
