I’m a little late in writing and posting this week, but better late than never…

The problem with writing this so late is that I don’t remember much about last week!  I remember thinking at certain times when Carson would say something funny or Betsy would do something adorable “I should put that in the post.”  But of course I’ve lost it all now.  So I’ll just cover the highlights.

I started a Tuesday morning bible study with a friend from church called Grace Based Parenting and sure enough that very day I was tested multiple times with Carson and Betsy and showing them grace.  I am looking forward to   After bible study we went and met Claire for lunch.  On the way there we got stuck in traffic that we discovered was caused by a garbage truck that had caught fire.  On the way home traffic was still backed up for miles.   Gotta love Houston.

On Thursday we headed to Round Rock.

We stopped and got cookies at Bucee’s in Bastrop.  Betsy fell asleep eating hers and woke up with a raisin stuck to her face.

On Friday Carson and I got sick with a 24 hour bug.  It was his first time throwing up (other than infant spit up) and wasn’t a fun time for anyone.

We felt better by Saturday and were able to meet up with Ben in Austin at Kate and Steve’s.  Saturday night we went to dinner to celebrate Kate’s and Betty’s birthdays coming up at the end of the month.

On Sunday we watched a half marathon run by the house, played outside at the park, took a nice walk, enjoyed the warm weather and ate fried chicken.  Ben headed back home and I headed out to Round Rock to see Lindsey, Beckett and Lane.  Sunday night Ben called to tell me that our water heater needed to be replaced.

Monday morning we ate pancakes, crossed the creek to see some deer bones and ate some tasty popsicles before heading back home to meet with the repair man.
