We went to Christopher’s two week check up on Monday. He did a great job. He slept on the way there, got a little grumpy waiting so I fed him, and after that he was a dream. He didn’t even cry when they had to do a heel prick for his newborn screen. He slept all the way home. Shallan came out, brought us lunch and stayed with Carson and Betsy during their naps while I took Christopher to the doctor. Aunt Shallan, we love you!
Tuesday was my first day really on my own and it was hard. You can’t really discipline your 3 year old for hitting his sister while you’re nursing your infant. I realized I haven’t mastered “the look” today. It just didn’t seem to phase Carson today. So I screamed a lot, the kids cried a lot and I felt defeated.
Wednesday was better. We took a walk, just around the block, but it was something.
All three kids napped at the same time this afternoon, overlapping for almost 2 hours! I know that won’t happen everyday, but it sure was nice and I hope it happens again.
Kate came on Thursday. Carson wanted my boppy to feed his baby today. It was pretty cute.
On Friday we spent a little time at the park in the morning and then took a trip to the grocery store. Kate headed back when I put the kids down for naps.
On Saturday Lindsey, Lane and Beckett and Sarah came to visit! We had a fun weekend full of crazy kids, lots of screaming, lots of food, lots of laughing, some good wine and good sister time. Lindsey got a cake for mine and Sarah’s birthdays!
We took a walk and played at the park on Sunday, then had lunch. Lindsey and boys headed back in the late afternoon, and Sarah stayed a little longer to watch the end of the World Cup finals.
Thanks for the fun weekend, sweet sisters!
