On Monday Lisa and the kids flew back to New York. A friend of ours from Sugar Land recently moved to Austin. She and her kids came by to play for a little while. Then mom, dad, the kids and I went to Five Guys for lunch. I headed back home after lunch. We skyped with Ben tonight.
We spent the rest of the week at home. By ourselves. By far the longest time we’ve been on our own. It went fine, the nights being the hardest times.
We had lunch with Carrie Tuesday, on her birthday, and my kids were really difficult but she claims she still had a good time :)
On Thursday we played with the Richeys. The kids did a great job and had a lot of fun.
On Saturday morning we played with the Mullins and again, had a great time! I am so thankful for our friends. It is such a blessing to have people who are in the same stage of life, who understand the struggles and have had kids fall apart and yell and scream so they don’t judge you when your kids so it!
We headed to Austin on Sunday morning and made it in incredible time! Everyone did a great job in the car.
I have to confess, we ate Chick-fil-A 4 times this week. Mom of the year!
