We drove in to Austin Sunday morning and stayed with Kate and Steve until Wednesday, then we drove out to Round Rock. Grandpa and Marj flew in that night and we stayed there until Friday morning. We came back to Houston on Sunday afternoon. It was a good week away, but I was glad to get home. Ben’s trial should be over in the next week, so coming home and knowing that he’d be joining us before the weekend is very exciting!
On Sunday Claire, Lisa, Ellie and Thomas, and Betty came over for lunch. It was great to visit with everyone. Claire brought some of these huge balloons and the kids loved them! I might have to order a few for Betsy’s party…
On Monday (I think?) we went to visit Regents and then got new shoes for the kids.
Kate Stafford came out to take pictures of the kids on Tuesday morning, right after Betsy and I had spent a night with little to no sleep. All things considered, she did a pretty good job with pictures. But of course we didn’t get one of all three kids in a good mood. We went to the park afterward. I think today Kate gave Christopher his first bottle and he did a great job!
On Wednesday I headed out to my parents house. Sarah came out for dinner and dad poured ice water on my head to appease the Pershern boys.
On Thursday we made a trip to Costco. That evening we spent a little time at the pool (Carson gets more comfortable every time) and we had delicious steaks for dinner!
I went back to Kate and Steve’s on Friday afternoon. That night we went to Blue Baker for dinner.
On Saturday we did some stuff in the afternoon and that night I got to see Nickel Creek with Steve. It was a great show and I am so glad I got to go! Kate and Claire kept the kids.
I headed back to Houston on Sunday.
