42/52

This week we just kind of survived.  I yelled a lot.  A lot.  I was ready for Friday by 10am on Monday.  It wasn’t just the kids being terrible, in fact I’m pretty sure they weren’t terrible at all.  I’m feeling kind of off right now.  I haven’t been exercising and haven’t been eating well and haven’t been getting enough sleep.  All those things together make for a really short tempered mommy.  It was a roller coaster week, and I am glad it’s over.  Thankfully the weekend was actually ok…except for the beat down we took from Alabama.  Yeesh.

There were some fun parts to the week, though!

I got a note sent home from Carson’s teacher that he’s too loud and needs to learn how to use his inside voice.  His teacher also told me when I picked him up on Thursday that he’s acting too silly and being immature.  So I feel like a failure as a mom, but at the same time I keep thinking, “He is 3, isn’t he just supposed to be loud and immature?”  I talked with another mom from Carson’s class and she said she’d received a couple notes home as well, so I’m hoping that it’s not just that Carson is an immature kid but that the teacher is addressing anything and everything.  But we do need to work on using an inside voice.  He really is loud.

The weather was warm this week, but nice in the evenings so we spent quite a bit of time outside.  We tried a picnic on Tuesday and Carson did a great job.  I had to bring Betsy back inside so she’d actually eat her lunch.

On Saturday we did some painting.

And Sunday night we played outside while we waited for Ben to come home from work.
