This week it finally got cold!  We pretty much skipped fall and went right in to winter.  But this coming week it will be in the 70’s again.  Regardless, I enjoyed the cold snap.  And so did Betsy.  I finally got to put her in this coat from Maren!46-52-9

Most of this week was spent doing the normal stuff and getting ready to go visit the Hubleys in Fort Worth for the weekend.

Friday was Carson’s birthday.  The kids woke up early so Ben got to sing Happy Birthday with us and give Carson his birthday donut.

We were able to leave our house Friday afternoon and after a long drive and a couple stops we made it.  The trip was hard on Christopher, Betsy had a tough time at the end, but Carson did really well.  Nearing the Hubleys we were all singing along with the Veggie Tales theme song, complete with beautiful harmonies.  I’ll give you one guess as to who that was :)

We had a really fun weekend.  Our kids played well together, especially Nathan and Carson.  I think Hannah enjoyed playing with Betsy even though Betsy is younger than her.  Henry and Christopher are close in age, but still too young to really interact.

On Saturday we went to the Fort Worth museum, had lunch at Chik-fil-A then came back for naps.

The kids drove these around in the front yard and had a blast.

We did the pinata I’d meant to use at Carson’s party.  Hannah did such a great job :)

After dinner we had cake and opened a few presents.  Thanks to the Hubleys for celebrating with us and making his birthday special.  And thank you for hosting us this weekend!  I am so glad that we were able to pull it off and hope it happens again soon.

The Aggies played and lost.

On Sunday we hung out in the morning then headed to Dallas to visit the Persherns and see their new house.  We had lunch there and then headed home.

After picking up Ginger at the Hartmans we drove the last 30 minutes of the weekend and were finally home.  Overall it was a fun weekend, but with just a tad too much driving for the kids.
